In July I will present works at the CUE Art Foundation in Manhattan. From the Press Release:

Franklin Furnace Fund and CUE Art Foundation, NY present Exhabitations, an installation and performance by San Francisco-based artist Jeremiah Barber. Exhabitations are minimalist, body-based works that dredge up the struggle of seeing the self with clarity. The exhibition culminates in a one-night performance, titled If Only My Own Person, that takes place in complete darkness. If Only My Own Person is an endurance work in which the artist bounds horizontally into the air with a paper body replica. An occasional burst of light illuminates the apex of the jump and then shuts off, leaving the floating after-images of an attempt at levitation in the audience’s eye. The sounds of the artist falling, jumping, falling, carry on in the dark.

More information on the exhibition can be found on the CUE website.

This work was made possible, in part, by the Franklin Furnace Fund supported by The SHS Foundation, public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and general operating support from the New York State Council on the Arts.
